A twelve-year-old boy has been missing from his Ampang home since June 6 and his family is pleading for information on his whereabouts.
Zaharul Nizam Zainuddin reportedly left his Jalan Pandan Indah house on the first day of Ramadan to play games at an Internet cafe.
His father, taxi driver Zainuddin Zahari, 44, told Bernama that both he and his wife were not in the house when the boy left. Six days after the boy failed to return, his father reportedly went to the police.
Zainuddin added that Zaharul would frequently visit the cafe to surf the Internet and play games, only returning home the next morning.
“Until today, there is no indication as to his whereabouts although we’ve made a lot of effort to locate him, including looking for him at his friends’ homes and asking the public to help,” Zainuddin said.
“We’ve also posted on Facebook on our missing son and pasted posters at public places in trying to find him,” he added.
Members of the public with information on Zaharul’s whereabouts can contact Zainuddin at 016-6002458 or call the investigating officer, Inspector Shamsiah Noor Zakaria, at 012-8308706 or 03-42897222.
