A bomoh (shaman-slash-healer) has been arrested for allegedly raping a woman who initially came to him seeking treatment for stomach pains.
Please, humans of Malaysia, if you feel ill, check with the doctor first. If he reckons it’s best left to a bomoh, then go the spiritual route. If it’s a medical issue, then he may be able to resolve it swiftly.
Sibu police say that a 29-year-old Indonesian suspect has been taken into custody, after he was apprehended 90 minutes outside the city selling vegetables.
Surprising. Everyone knows the only fruit/vegetable/seed a bomoh can sell without losing face, is a coconut.

The 20-year-old victim reported that the rape took place yesterday morning, at her family home, after her mother called the man to treat the girl. Her mother had previously used him to treat other ailments.
The man thought it acceptable to insert his fingers into the vagina of the victim, and then told her mother that the girl was no longer a virgin. Let’s make it clear right now that this is rape, and in no way, can detect “virginity.” He then asked her to bathe, and it was in the bathroom that he raped her.
The woman filed a police report after doctors at Sibu Hospital encouraged her to go to the authorities regarding the case.
Absolutely appalling, and begs the question: what are we doing to educate our population against the dangers of seeking the help of these supposed “healers”?
