Body of woman found stuffed in suitcase in Klang

Police revealed yesterday that the body discovered in a suitcase inside a drain in Klang was that of a woman who had been strangled to death.

A report by the New Straits Times‘ Dawn Chan quoted Klang Utara district deputy OCPD Superintendent Omar Sappi as saying that the female victim was aged between 30 and 40.

“The body had decomposed. Three strangulation marks were found on the victim’s neck. A purple beaded shawl was also found on her neck,” he was quoted as saying.

Media reports said that a police corporal had discovered the suitcase — left inside a drain on Jalan Belimbing, Kampung Bukit Kapar — at 11am on Monday.

The victim had been clad in a purple t-shirt with black slacks. Anyone with information can call the Klang Utara district police headquarters at 03-3291 2222.
