A fisherman looking to catch a big one was shocked to find a body floating at the estuary of Sungai Klebang in Malacca instead.
According The Star Online‘s Sardi Mahrom, 36-year-old Fazili Abas reportedly found the lifeless body of hairstylist Bock Yoke Moi near the Klebang Jetty at 9.20am on Tuesday and promptly alerted the police.
The victim’s relative, David How, told the news website that the 41-year-old mother of two left her home in Taman Seri Duyung late Monday evening and failed to return.
“Family members searched for her but she was nowhere to be found ,” he was quoted as saying, adding that Bock had been suffering from mental illness for almost ten years.
“Sometimes, she would leave home without informing anyone but she would return safely, but this time we never expected her to go forever.”
Meanwhile, Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Shaikh Abdul Adzis Shaikh Abdullah told The Star Online that the police are treating the case as a sudden death for now while awaiting the post-mortem report.
