A married couple taking a leisurely stroll on Geliga beach in Kuala Terengganu on Friday reportedly stumbled upon the semi-nude body of a man.
Bernama reported that the man, identified as Razak Abdullah, 45, was believed to have been bludgeoned to death before his body was dumped in the area.
His motorcycle was found nearby.
Kemaman police chief Supt Mohd Said Ibrahim told the news agency that initial investigations revealed the killer had struck the victim, from Kampung Meraga Beris, Kijal with a blunt object.
“Razak was believed to have succumbed to his injuries in less than 24 hours,” he was quoted as saying, adding that the body was sent to the Kemaman Hospital.
