Beware! There’s a serial tyre slasher in Cameron Highlands

If you happen to be in Cameron Highlands, be extra careful where you park your car.

The New Straits Times reports that at least twelve vehicles parked around Brinchang town had their tyres intentionally punctured in the middle of the night.

Cameron Highlands police chief Deputy Superintendent Hasadid A Hamid told the daily that the incident, deemed an act of mischief by the police, happened between 3am and 5am on Saturday.

“We received two reports by the owners and we are in the midst of investigating,” Hasadid was quoted as saying.

While this looks like a deliberate act of mischief, all these vehicles have one thing in common, though.

According to Hasadid, initial investigations revealed that the vehicles were said to have been parked haphazardly and were reportedly obstructing traffic.

“We advise visitors and tourists to Cameron Highland to park their vehicles accordingly to avoid this situation from recurring,” he was further quoted as saying.
