UPDATE:
Police have arrested the nurse’s ex-boyfriend in relation to the bomb planted on the nurse’s car. Also seized were several electronic devices and firecrackers used for making the IED.
Police believe that the suspect planted the bomb after a messy break-up, and money-related issues.

Turns out that the suspicious beeping sound on a Klang nurse’s car wasn’t to get her oil checked: it was actually a homemade bomb.
Police say that the 27-year old woman was driving home in her Proton Saga (of course it was a Saga) after her shift when the unusual noises caught her attention. She drove to her uncle’s house, and it was then that the man made the discovery of a bomb taped to her bumper.
The Star confirmed that the woman was driving with an improvised explosive device (IED), and that the explosion could have been sufficient enough to cause death. The IED was two cylinders wrapped in black tape, along with an electronic circuit board and switch.
A bomb disposal unit was called to the scene, and the object was successfully defused.
Investigators have no idea what the possible motive for attaching a bomb to the nurse’s car could be, but we’re sure that whatever the answer is, it will be very, very interesting.
This is one of many incidents of late involving homemade explosives. Last month a bomb and ammunition was discovered after a police shootout with a Kedah man. Two-hundred and fifty grams of syabu were also found on the premises.
Earlier this year another seizure was made by police after a bomb-maker and his girlfriend had their mini Ecstasy lab raided by cops. In addition to a stockpile of drugs, bomb-making tools and goods were also found.
Well there you have it, when stuff gets weird, you can be pretty certain meth will somehow be involved.
