The Malaysian Bar Council shrugged off a bomb threat called in during its extraordinary general meeting at Wisma MCA today.
The Bar Council is meeting to decide if its members should march in calling for the repeal of the Sedition Act 1948.
Lawyer Edmund Bon told The Malay Mail Online‘s Boo Su-Lyn that the meeting was still proceeding as scheduled, despite the fact that police officers were scanning the meeting hall for traces of explosives.
“We laughed it off,” Bon said.
