Singaporean authorities confirmed formally today that a certain aircraft, linked to a certain multi-billion dollar misappropriation scandal, from a certain Malaysian wealth fund, was in fact in the city’s Seletar Airport.
They’ve also added that contrary to much media hoopla-ha, no formal request for its return has been received.
And you KNOW Singapore is going to need that formal request, correctly filled out paperwork, and whatever the allocated number of days they need to make this happen.
Great.
Authorities had previously been coy as to whether the private jet that they had confiscated in February of last year was in fact the same RM 145 million (US$35 million) private jet that is believed to be owned by Malaysia’s most wanted financier, Jho Low.
In recent days, Prime Minister Mahathir has indicated that he seeks to repossess the jet, and bring it from Singapore to Malaysia, as soon as it is ready to fly.
Just remember to get that request paperwork from Singapore first, Sir!
