Forget the steering locks as the road rage weapon of decades past; in Seremban, one motorist decided to pick up an axe in a fit of anger against a couple in another vehicle.
The incident was caught on video.
Yesterday, the male suspect — who was in a white Proton Saga before stepping out and threatening a couple who honked at him —surrendered at the Seremban police headquarters, The Malaysian Insider’s Elvina Fernandez reported.
Seremban police chief Muhamad Zaki Harun told the portal that the suspect surrendered around 1.30pm.
“He realised that we were looking for him and monitoring his home,” he was quoted as saying.
The suspect was at the Sungai Ujong traffic light intersection in Seremban when the vehicle behind him began to honk at him for not moving when the light turned green.
He then pointed an axe at the driver and his wife, who recorded the incident and posted it on Facebook.
The clip had been uploaded by Neygina Zura on the closed ‘Seremban Macam Macam Ada’ Facebook group.
