Anwar’s sodomy victim Saiful Bukhari blogs his gratitude for Federal Court decision

In a reaction to the Federal Court decision to set aside Federal Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim’s appeal against a five-year prison sentence for sodomy, the man who took Anwar to court over the offence has written a note of gratitude over the results of today’s proceedings on his personal blog

He expressed relief that his “seven-year ordeal” had come to an end, and thanked the Federal Court for deciding that his testimony was true and that he was a “credible” witness.

He asserts that when he lodged a police report on Anwar in 2008, he only wanted Anwar to be investigated and served justice, nothing more.

Saiful also maintained his account of the events to be true, and that he was acting as a man of God when he presented his facts, so as to “not be judged in the Hereafter.”

He ended the note by thanking his supporters.
