After being denied a chance to see his own son, an enraged man decided to torch his ex-wife’s car as well as his house on Sunday, according to a report by The New Straits Times.
In the 8.30pm incident, the 29-year-old man, who in February was hauled to court for physically abusing his wife, reportedly demanded to see his child.
When his request was denied, the man lost his cool and took it out on his ex-wife.
First, the man reportedly set fire to his ex-wife’s Mitsubishi Pajero, which was parked near a petrol station along the Alor Gajah-Melaka Tengah-Jasin (AMJ) highway.
Then, he set his own house on fire after waiting for the occupants in his home to leave.
The firemen, who had just finished putting out the flames that engulfed the vehicle, were summoned yet again to the same location ten minutes later to fight the fire at the man’s home.
Thankfully, there were no casualties and the man was reportedly arrested by the police on the spot.
