An American citizen riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle was decapitated in a gruesome crash along Jalan Tun Razak on Sunday morning,
The victim, identified as 50-year old Ernest Edward Chavez, was working in Malaysia for an oil and gas firm.
The crash occured at 2am, when Chavez was riding his Harley bike at high speeds in the direction of the Pekeliling bus terminal.
Chavez’s motorcycle skidded and impacted with a road divider during the incident, at which point the victim’s head was torn off his body.
Kuala Lumpur traffic investigation and legal officer DSP S Markandan said the death was classified as an accident, as no foul play was suspected to be involved.
Chavez’s remains were sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for post-mortem.
