Fugitive and mega troll Alvin Tan is ‘trash’, at least as far as one senator is concerned.
Speaking out against the blogger and former law student who recently posted a video of himself singing the azan on Facebook, Senator Koh Chin Han said Tan has no place in the country.
“If he is in our country, he should be brought to the court and charged with sedition. We can’t keep ‘trash’ like Alvin Tan in this country,” The Star Online quotes Koh as saying.
“But what can we do, we leave it to the Home Ministry to take further action against Alvin Tan,” he was quoted further.
Tan, whose long list of past controversies include a sex blog with his then girlfriend Vivian Lee, a bak kut teh greeting during Ramadhan and his subsequently escape from the country after being charged.
Tan is now in the United States seeking political asylum.
