ALERT: Margaret Cho is coming to Kuala Lumpur this May

Gather ’round all of you with an appreciation for laughs and sassiness, we have an announcement: Margaret Cho, she of ’90s television fame and outspoken LGBTQ+ support, is coming to Kuala Lumpur.

WHUT WHUUUUT? Sacre bleu, we love the ’90s! What are you gonna tell us next, Coconuts KL? They’re doing a reboot of Reality Bites starring Selena Gomez?

No. We hope not at least. Some things are sacred, you know?

However, we can happily confirm that Ms. Cho will be hitting our shores May 11, courtesy of LOL Events, with her show Fresh of the Bloat. Apparently, Cho has found a reawakened spirit and humor after a bout of both addiction and depression. Also apparently, it’s meta AND magical. So, like, a way funnier One Hundred Years of Solitude?

Tickets go on sale April 5 at Ticketpro.com.my, and range from RM112 to RM250 (about US$29-US$65).

Whatever – we’re down and actually can’t wait. In fact, we’re so excited we’re just gonna leave you with this picture of Cho on her Emmy-nominated guest starring role as Kim Jong-Il on the television series 30 Rock. See you there.
