AirAsia X to resume flights to Europe

Long-haul budget airline AirAsia X will resume flights to Europe.

AirAsia chief executive Tan Sri Tony Fernandes told Reuters that the company plans to restart flights to Europe next year.

London, he reportedly said, would be the first likely destination — the airline had been flying to the city as well as Paris but stopped in 2012.

In December, Fernandes hinted the re-opening of the London route by the end of 2015 after indicating that discussions with London mayor Boris Johnson and Airbus were going well.

The airline also plans to fly to Hawaii
