Deputy Prime Minister Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s son-in-law, Syed Alman Syed Alwi, died last night, the New Straits Times reports.
According to the daily, Syed Alman — husband to Zahid’s eldest daughter Nurul Hidayah, 37 — was believed to have been undergoing dental surgery at the University Malaya Medical Centre in Petaling Jaya when a complication occurred. He was 44.
The NST reported that it confirmed the news with a Home Ministry official.
Syed Alman was the founder of ICT company, iGen Technology Sdn Bhd and chairman of Gerakan Belia 4B (M) Shah Alam Welfare and Education Fund, the NST said.
