A local academic attached to Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) has come out to say the disappearance of seven Orang Asli children in the jungles of Gua Musang, Kelantan might have been caused by paranormal forces.
Dr Mahyuddin Ismail, of UMP’s Islamic Centre, said that the disappearance of loved ones was a test from Allah, and would not rule out the involvement of supernatural elements such as djinn or demons.
“In Islamic history, such disappearances had occured during the times of the Holy Prophet and Caliph Umar al-Khattab.
“The Prophet advised that the location of the disappearance be graced with the azan, and that prayers seeking forgiveness and guidance be offered as part of the search efforts,” he told Harian Metro today.
The seven Orang Asli students, all students of SK Tohoi, and two others have been missing for 10 days.
The disappearance of the nine individuals have left sarch and rescue team members with no clue as to what might have happened to them, or where they might have headed.
