Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail’s time as the Attorney-General has ended, Bernama reports.
In a newsflash, the national news agency quoted Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Ali Hamsa as saying that Abdul Gani’s tenure had ended yesterday due to health reasons.
Abdul Gani had been heading the special task force to investigate allegations of corruption involving the controversial state investment company 1Malaysia Development Berhad.
The Star Online reports that former Federal Court judge Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali will take over as A-G with immediate effect.
