A two-year old girl who was abducted from a shopping mall near Pudu Sentral was found beheaded near the Klang River in Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin last night.
The body was discovered by a passerby near the KTM station by the river at around 9pm. The Star Online reports that the girl’s head was found near the body.
Police believe the man responsible for the abduction and beheading jumped into the Klang River and drowned whule attempting to escape.
“According to a witness, the suspect was seen carrying the girl towards the Klang River,” said City CID chief Senior Asst Comm Gan Kong Meng.
“The witness also saw the suspect forcing the girl to lie down on the ground and using something to hit the victim on her head and neck,” he said. He added passersby who saw the incident take place tried to save the girl, but the suspect kept on hitting her.
The suspect had then tried to flee by jumping into the river when the passers-by approached him.
