Why are the troublemakers usually people who drive expensive cars? A question yet to be answered.

Recently, a Mercedes-Benz driver who evaded paying tolls 45 times was finally caught at the Ampang – Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH).

According to Prolintas AKLEH’s official Twitter account, the woman driving the Mercedes-Benz A-Class hatchback owed RM275.65 in unpaid tolls.

When she was apprehended by toll booth personnel, she was told she had to pay the full amount right away.

Prolintas has warned the public not to imitate the act of toll evasion because it may cause inconvenience to others.

“This is a lesson to everyone. Do not copy this immoral act. Not only is it considered trespassing, but this act can also put other vehicles in danger,” the company said.

The situation’s outcome dissatisfied many online users, who believed that the driver should have been charged twice as much as the toll fees she avoided.

FYI, the price of a Mercedes-Benz A-Class hatchback starts from RM227,888.

What do you think of the punishment or non-punishment that was given to the driver?
