A man was found brutally murdered at the stairwell of a popular Kepong shopping mall on Tuesday.
The 53-year-old’s body was found at the emergency exit stairs of the Brem Mall with his face serious injuries to his face, the New Straits Times reports.
“I saw the men dragging the man, not certain from where. I could not understand what they were saying as the spoke in Hokkien. “I asked them to stop hitting the man but they ignored my advice. I gathered that the man had cheated them,” the NST quoted a witness as saying.
It is believed that the man had been beaten up by a group of five to six men and according to Sentul Police deputy chief Supt Mohd Sukri Kaman, the incident may be related to a clash between triads.
“The man was badly injured in the face. There were no stab wounds on the body, which was taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital,” Mohd Sukri said.
