16-year old student kicked to death by senior in Kelantan vocational school assault

A 16-year old student was killed after having been kicked in the neck by a 17-year old senior at a vocational college in Bachok, Kelantan on Tuesday.

The incident, which occured at 1.30am, was instigated when the victim, Mohd Nor Akram bin Zime, allegedly slighted the offending senior, who subsequently assaulted him.

Kelantan state police chief Mazlan Lazim said the victim was asleep in his room with four other roommates when the assailant kicked him awake.

“Blood veins were cut as a result of the blows,” he said, as quoted by The Rakyat Post‘s Adnan Mohamad.

“A teacher who arrived at the scene found the victim unconscious and sent him to a nearby clinic.”

Nor Akram was pronounced dead upon arrival at the clinic.

Police detained the assailant at 12.30pm the same day, and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
