MTV announced today that the mutli-platinum, Grammy-nominated pop titan behind ‘Call Me Maybe’ and ‘I Really Like You’ will be making her acquaintance for the first time, via the World Stage Malaysia ’15 show happening on September 12 at Sunway Lagoon’s Surf Beach.
Carly will be joined onstage by South Korean sextet Apink and Japanese band SEKAI NO OWARI.
The Malaysian acts for this year’s World Stage will actually be determined by you: rocking the #MostWanted hashtag, homegrown giants such as Oh! Chentaku, Hazama, and Pesawat square off on equal footing with indie vets like Couple and Bittersweet, not to mention multi-AIM winning hip-hop(pin’ Asian) SonaOne. It’s going to be a slugfest, and your votes are going to determine who gets to be up there in when the lights flood the stage. So, you know, go do your democratic duty.
