‘Van Gogh Alive’ multimedia exhibition coming to Malaysia on December 17

Even if you’re not a fan of Vincent Van Gogh, you have no doubt seen his iconic painting “The Starry Night” somewhere at least once in your life. And if you’re a fan, then better put this on your calendar! From December 17 until March 16, 2023, the public will be able to catch a multimedia exhibition of Van Gogh Alive at Pavilion Bukit Jalil. 

Van Gogh’s most popular works, such as Starry Night and Sunflowers, will be projected floor to ceiling in this immersive, multi-sensory exhibition.

Van Gogh Alive claims to be “no ordinary art exhibition” and uses a format that allows visitors to interact with the art. 

“Van Gogh Alive sets aside traditions of tiptoeing through silent galleries and viewing paintings from afar in quiet contemplation,” reads the exhibition notes.

The multi-sensory experience surrounds visitors with a symphony of light, colour, sound, and even fragrance.

Van Gogh Alive is presented by Grande Experiences in Australia, and the ticketed event is co-organized in Malaysia by FrameMotion Studio Sdn Bhd and Meta Doers World Holding Berhad.

The showcase has visited over 80 cities worldwide, attracting over 8.5 million visitors.

The exhibition will be housed in a specially designed and constructed immersive gallery (measuring nearly 1,900sq m) at the Pavilion Bukit Jalil Kuala Lumpur to welcome visitors.
