Urbanscapes 2018 announces line-up: T-minus two weeks til tickets go on sale

With barely enough time to catch our breaths from this month’s Good Vibes Music festival, followed by what was probably Kuala Lumpur’s greatest live show in recent memory with Anderson .Paak, we’ve been hit with another incredible event in our midst.

Yes, it’s that time of year again when KL gets taken over by music, arts and culture with Urbanscapes 2018. The city-wide, creative arts festival will take place this year between 3 November to 18 November, under the theme of #REIMAGINEKL.

Re-imagine our fair city … as a place with consistent sidewalks, if we dared to dream.

Jokes! This year’s fest will build around the concept of creating diverse experiences throughout the city, bringing together accessible arts, ideas and – of course – music.

This year’s acts include Khalid, whose hit Young, Dumb & Broke you know from every radio station, at least twice a day, Wolf Alice (who we caught at last year’s Laneway Festival in Singapore, and was incredible) and Thailand’s Phum Viphurit, a singer-songwriter who we’ve only heard great things about.

Expect more line-up announcements in Phase 2.

Pace yourselves, the festival spreads itself across three weekends, and from what we remember from last year’s iconic opening party at 2 Hang Kasturi, things escalated very quickly.

For more information on the full line-up, including accompanying events go to urbanscapes.com.my and tickets go on sale starting 16 August at www.galactix.asia

U Mobile subscribers get access to a pre-sale, starting 14 August.

As always, we’ll see you on the dancefloor, Malaysia.
