The first Banyan Tree property to open in Malaysia sits pretty on the top seven floors of the Banyan Tree Signatures Pavilion Kuala Lumpur Building — quite a mouthful with that name, but hey, it does look like it’s going to be pretty spectacular (from the looks of the renderings, anyway).

It’ll offer views from up high of the surrounding cityscape, including architectural icons like the Petronas Twin Towers and Kuala Lumpur Tower.

Opening on July 1, the five-starred Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur wants you to think of it as an urban oasis in the midst of a bustling city. The rooms and suites here number 55, ranging from 51 sqm to 200 sqm in size, with private relaxation pools in the suites and the brand’s signature aromatherapy essentials in all accommodations, plus facilities like an open-air pool, a gym, and three fully-equipped boardrooms.

At the Banyan Tree Spa, one of Asia’s major award-winning spas, popular treatments include the customized Master Therapist Experience and the Malaysian Bliss — a Nusantara massage that ends with a jasmine green tea bath.

If you’re the type who never wants to leave the hotel, you can calm your hunger pangs at one of these dining options: the lobby’s French-inspired bakery called Bake by Banyan Tree; Altitude, an afternoon tea and wine lounge on the 53rd level; and Horizon Grill, the seafood and grill restaurant on the 58th floor.

As for on-site tipples, Banyan Tree KL is rolling out Vertigo, so named for taking the title of the city center’s highest hotel rooftop bar, thanks to its setup on the tower’s 59th floor.
