Two Malaysians selected as regional brand ambassadors for sports brand

It’s 2016 and two Malaysian women have brought the term ‘Girl Power’ back.

Local actress Siti Saleha and Miss Universe Malaysia 2015 Vanessa Tevi Kumares were recently chosen as brand ambassadors for international sports brand Puma in South East Asia.

According to a statement by Puma, both Siti and Vanessa will front their recently-announced “Do You” campaign.

The campaign, said Puma, aims to inspire women to stay true to themselves and make their own rules.

“It creates a conversation that encourages women to be confident, motivated, and never willing to compromise on anything from their personal style to their workouts to their life,” the brand said in the statement.

Last week, the 24-year-old Vanessa took to her Facebook page to announce the news and shared her excitement at being selected as the face of the regional campaign:

The 26-year-old Siti also took to her social media page to pen an open letter to all the women out there:

Both women are now part of Puma’s impressive line-up of influential female ambassadors, which include the likes of singer Rihanna and model-actress Cara Delevigne.

Besides Siti and Vanessa, the other four South-East Asian ambassadors are Dawn Yeoh and Sheila Sim from Singapore, and Kelly Tandiono and Rani Ramadhany from Indonesia.
