She may be only 20 months old, but she is already more popular on Instagram and Facebook than most of us – combined!
Little Lara Alana currently has 1.7 million followers on Instagram while her Facebook page is reaching one million ‘Likes’. Rara, as she is known in the cybersphere, has everyone ‘ooh’-ing and ‘aww’-ing with her daily antics, from playtime to eating to her super adorable ‘outfit of the day’ posts (usually tagged with with the hashtag #raraootd).
In fact, each and every one of her pictures and videos attract thousands of ‘likes’ on her social media sites, making her a pint-sized internet celebrity.
So, why is Rara so popular?
It could be because she’s the daughter of popular local celebrities Awal Ashaari and Scha Alyahya.
While most celebrity parents prefer to keep their offsprings out of the limelight, Awal and Scha have learnt to embrace Rara’s stardom and view it as a positive thing.
The 32-year-old actress reveals that the comments they received on Rara’s social media sites have taught them how to become better parents.
“We interact with our followers on parenting,” she said. “Once, people commented that we should not allow Rara to sit on the floor with her legs folded and we looked it up online, we found out that it could harm a child’s growth. Since she is our first child, such positive comments taught us and helped us in raising her.”
