A TikTok user has recreated Malaysian singer Aina Abdul’s Balenciaga-inspired rose dress just a day after she debuted her look at the Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian (Most Popular Stars of Berita Harian) awards show.
Hadrey Ali struck a couple of runway-worthy poses as he showed off his own avant-garde outfit made from various household items including a dustbin cover, baskets, a container, and a pot in a video titled POV: Aina Abdul red carpet at ABPBH34 uploaded yesterday. Shadow singer Aina was wearing the black velvet dress by local fashion brand Behati, complete with a massive rose headpiece that people said looked Met Gala-worthy.
The TikTok video has been viewed nearly a million times as of today with more than 6,000 comments of laughter and praise. His look has also been reposted to Twitter.
Hadrey, who has more than 286,000 followers on his diva.h.a TikTok page, is known for his comedic sketches and has also recreated looks by other celebrities like K-pop boyband BTS and actress Rozita Che Wan using budget-friendly items.
