Yeah, okay. We didn’t think we’d write that headline today, either.
A YouTube video of a man dressed up in a Spider-Man costume (from The Amazing Spider-Man, starring Andrew Garfield, not a janky Toys’R’Us knockoff) dancing on a LRT to the tune of Ed Sheeran’s hit single “Don’t” has gone viral, because what else would a video like that do?
This Malaysian (?) Spidey is no slouch in the moves department, either. While he may not be able to cling to walls and stop trains from dropping off the edge of railtracks, his dance routine was pretty top-notch. He even hung upside down at one point, indicating Peter Parker’s been taking pole dancing lessons. Busy man.
It was all apparently a stunt to get the attention of Maxis’s prepaid mobile service Hotlink, who are bringing Brit sensation Ed Sheeran down to KL for a live show on March 16 in the KL Convention Centre. The friendly neighbourhood webslinger just wanted to score a free ticket or two.
Help out a crimefighter short on cash, Hotlink!
