Popular South Korean variety show Running Man shocked Malaysian viewers recently after one of its stars confidently mistook Malaysia’s capital city for that of The Philippines.

The latest episode of one of the country’s longest-running shows was aired over the weekend and captured usual suspects Ji Seok Jin, Song Ji Hyo and guest Lee Young Ji quizzing each other about the name of Malaysia’s capital. While Ji knew the answer and even dropped hints, Lee didn’t and Song named a completely wrong city.

“Manila,” Song said when Ji asked what Malaysia’s capital city was. In case you haven’t figured it out – it’s Kuala Lumpur (obviously).

Clips of Song’s embarrassing scene have already made it to other online platforms like TikTok, where it has been viewed 180,000 times.

Viewers were mostly amused by the Princess Hours actress and the show’s guest.

“I bet Ji Hyo bought her confidence from the Shopee app!” a comment said, referring to the e-commerce site.

Running Man has been on air since 2010 and features a group of at least five individuals, including comedian Ji, running around the country accomplishing various wacky missions.
