Russell Peters is the funniest standup comedian to come out of Canada since … probably Jim Carrey, and he’s already blessed Kuala Lumpur with his biting wit once before. KL’s about to get a second helping next year, as Peters swings through on his Almost Famous World Tour 2014/2015.
The last time Peters was out in KL, for his Notorious World Tour 2012, organisers had to hastily add on a second show due to overwhelming demand from local comedy junkies. Here’s hoping organisers LOL Events will plan accordingly for the upcoming show(s) … or, you know, set up folding seats in between the aisles to accommodate as many audience members as humanly possible.
Sidenote: if you’re a hip-hop fan, Russell is too, and he’s bringing in heavy guns to liven up his set: Canada’s DJ Starting From Scratch and OG New York City spin doctor DJ Spinbad will be on the decks for his show, so even if you’re not into laughing (you thug) you should probably shell out for tickets.
