Prepare For Battle: the Power Rangers are headed to Genting Highlands

It’s been more than 20 years since the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers first exploded off the television screen and jammed itself into the brains of children all over the world, but the Japanese-turned-American franchise has only grown more fearsome and impressive … like a towering Megazord about to clothesline a poor man in a suffocating rubber monster suit.

And now Resorts World Genting is about to serve up some super sentai-flavoured beatdowns, with Power Rangers Live in Genting 2016, the massive franchise’s first live show in Southeast Asia.

The show, scheduled to take place at the Genting International Showroom on May 28 to June 26, will also be the first live show incorporating the Power Rangers’ latest incarnation, Dino Charge, ever seen anywhere in the world.

Power Rangers Live in Genting 2016 will run for a full hour and will involve a massive production crew of 25 Japanese pros with 15 of their Malaysian counterparts.

While the live show is still a ways off, Power Rangers fans can still get their technokung-fu kicks on with the multicoloured crusaders in Resorts World Genting beginning this Friday, April 29 to Sunday, May 1 – the Rangers will be running around the theme park, presumably to take selfies with fans and sign their boobs, and not trying to murder an interdimensional creature from Rita Repulsa’s menagerie.
