Malaysian rapper Joe Flizzow has come out on Twitter to clarify that he is not the man you saw in yesterday’s road rage video.

Joe, 41, whose real name is Johan Ishak, made the clarification today after thousands named the road rage suspect “discount” Joe Flizzow for having similar features to the rapper, including having a bald head and wearing a pair of shades. But that suspect was also an alleged meth abuser who has been arrested by the police for assault, theft, and damaging a car – none of which describes Johan.

“I want you to listen. Just this one time, just one time only. The bald man [in the video] is not me,” Johan said. Just like the suspect, he was also wearing a pair of sunglasses.

But that hasn’t stopped Malaysians from entertaining themselves by comparing the two.

“The Joe Flizzow you get at Pavillion vs the grade AAA copy of Joe Flizzow you ordered online,” Twitter user @InjangNation wrote.

“When you get Joe Flizzow with discount code,” @NewBabuTimes said.

The rapper look-alike was arrested last night, along with three others, after the group was caught on camera attacking a car. All of them were found to be under the influence of meth, and were arrested between 7pm and 11pm yesterday. The incident took place in Taman Sentosa, Klang.

“The suspects broke the car windows and pulled the victim out of the vehicle and hit him with a piece of wood as well as snatched a cell phone belonging to the cousin,” South Klang police spokesperson Shamsul Amar Ramli said today. The group were aged 25 to 35.

Police said they were investigating them for robbery and intentionally causing harm.
