After 11 years in Jalan Ampang, superclub Zouk KL will soon pack up (as its lease expires in June ) and head to its new home at Jalan Tun Razak, within the seven-acre mammoth entertainment spot TREC (which stands for ‘Taste, Relish, Experience, Celebrate’).
The Electric Boulevard
Details for the opening of the new Zouk KL should be out in April, TREC says, but at RM38 million (60,000 sq ft) the club is said to be the most expensive ever built in Malaysia.
Expect to see several clubs, a member’s lounge, a cafe and an outdoor garden. It’s also the only nightspot to be allowed to operate until 5am.
The first phase of TREC — dubbed Malaysia’s first purpose-built and largest lifestyle, F&B and entertainment hub — is set to open in July; the Electric Boulevard, to be precise, where you can find Artebar, The Scene by Pisco, Live House, Japanese Gastrobar by Bryan Loo [Chatime] and others.
More than 3,000 parking lots will be available here.
