If you’re in the mood for a lot of cheesy feel-good fun and a bit of stage magic, you’re going to be dancing (like a queen) for joy: the world-famous musical Mamma Mia! is coming to KL in December.
The production, utilising the evergreen 70s pop hits of Swedish band ABBA to tell the story of a young woman’s search for her father and her identity, will be raising its curtains in KL on December 18 through 21, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre’s Plenary Hall.
The cast of Mamma Mia! will also be holding a workshop for performing arts students and leturers from the KL Performing Arts Centre (KLPac), Universiti Malaya, Akademi Seni Budaya dan Warisan Kebangsaan an Universiti Teknologi MARA.
The stage production, currently on an international tour, is produced by Judy Craymer, Richard East and Ulvaeus for LittleStar in association with Universal, Stage Entertainment and NGM, and will feature a cast of more than 60 talents from the UK.
Mamma Mia! is being brought to Malaysia by Yvents, with investment holding firm KSK Group coming in as platinum sponsor.
