Music Video: Jin Hackman’s 2014 Malaysian Rap Up looks back on the year that was

Holy crap, this music video has everything.

Jin Hackman, who’s been putting out Malaysian Rap Ups for the past few years, has outdone himself with his musical report on the past 365 days.

From Kangkung-gate to pork-contaminated Cadbury bars, from politicians giving props to Hitler on Twitter to Playboy models converting to Islam and putting on the hijab, from the tragedies of MH370, MH17, and most recently QZ8501, to the outright weirdness of giving some of KL’s major roads new (and frustratingly long) names, the 2014 Rap Up is the closest thing urban Malaysia has to a complete and comprehensive retrospective on a tumultuous, eventful, and emotional year.

Jin is joined on this iteration of his annual project by producer Tactmatic, and the music video was produced by the good people over at TapauTV, who also organised this year’s landmark TapauFest.

Oh, and did you catch the cameos by AIM Best Song winner SonaOne, breakout new artist Ali Aiman, and the ladies from the #AV music video?
