Man becomes first Malaysian to enter Vietnam’s ‘Ninja Warrior’ TV show

A Malaysian is making the country proud in Vietnam!

Mohd Redha Rozlan could very well be the first Malaysian to qualify for a Japanese-inspired sports entertainment show in Vietnam.

According to a report by Bernama, the IT officer took less than 46 seconds to conquer the first stage of ‘Sasuke Viêt Nam‘ (or better known as ‘Ninja Warrior’), making him a favourite to join the show.

The Pahang-born Mohd Redha, or better known as Mat Redho on Facebook, posted a video of him completing the course on the social media site on Monday and has since amassed a total of 26,000 views.

This wasn’t Mohd Redha’s first appearance on a reality TV show, though. Back in 2014, he teamed up with local actress Erin Malek to participate in ‘Fear Factor Malaysia’.

Originated from Japan, ‘Sasuke Viêt Nam‘ presents four stages of increasing difficulty and every competitor must complete a stage to advance. Contestants have to pass obstacles such as the Rope Climb, Jumping Bars, Salmon Ladder and Spinning Bridge to reach the top of a tower called Midori-yama, within the given time.

According to Vietnamese daily Viet Nam News, this year’s edition saw a total of 1,500 registrations, including 35 foreign applicants.
