“It’s a sad day today. I don’t know the late Siti Sarah personally. But I’m aware of the wonderful things she did when she was alive,” Elenatengku tweeted. “So disappointed that it took arwah Siti Sarah’s pemergian (demise) to wake up many others out there. Patut dari awal dah kita (We should have, from the start,) prioritize the vaccine rollout to those who are pregnant, especially (the very) high risk. Sedih sangat (very sad),” ZulianaEusoff wrote, noting that pregnant women are not prioritized for vaccines.
Siti Sarah’s son Ayash Affan was surgically removed from his mother three days ago. He is in stable condition at the hospital. She died without seeing him.
Her management company, Indigital Music, broke the news of her death.
She leaves behind her husband and four children, including Ayash Affan.
Siti Sarah started her career on singing competition Bintang RTM in 2001 and made a name for herself with well-loved hits like Kesetiaan, Semakin, and Sandarkan Pada Kenangan, a duet with Jamal Abdillah.
