Tim Burton, the director of Netflix’s newest series Wednesday will bring one of his exhibitions to Kuala Lumpur this March!

The debut appearance of the World of Tim Burton exhibition in Southeast Asia will take place at Pavilion Bukit Jalil on March 21 until July 30.

The art exhibition, which had its world premiere in 2009 at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, received over 800,000 visitors, making it the third most well-attended display in MoMA’s history.

The exhibition, which is now making its debut in Malaysia, will include approximately 540 works, including signature pieces from the Tim Burton retrospective as well as over 150 new works not previously seen in the MoMA exhibition tour.

Malaysians can expect to see sketches, paintings, drawings, photographs, maquettes and puppets used by Tim Burton for his film works, as well as life-sized sculptures categorised according to his five-decade career, divided into ten thematic sections.

This is your chance to explore Tim Burton’s creative process, who is best known for producing films like Corpse Bride, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Edward Scissorhands, The Dark Knight, Beetlejuice, and more.

The exhibit is organised by Toybox Projects in partnership with Eurasian Entertainment Consultants Ltd and KOL Nation.

Aside from KL, the World of Tim Burton tour will also be stopping by Seoul, South Korea; Prague, Czech Republic; Tokyo, Japan; Brühl, Germany; São Paulo, Brazil; Hong Kong; and Mexico City, Mexico.

You will be able to purchase your tickets on KOL Nation and TicketCharge from Jan. 11 onwards, as well as at the exhibition venue.
