KLPAC 10TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION: SINGER-SONGWRITERS (ACOUSTIC GIG) @ KL PAC

Let us be merry with our friends at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre as they celebrate their 10th year anniversary, with a special performance by 10 singers and their 10 original compositions.

Featuring the musical talents of Ariff AB, Ariff Akhir, Fabian Mark Peter, Hameer Zawawi, Min’z, Rina S., Self Conscious Acronymed Man, Shaneil Devaser, Sophia Andersen and Vale V. Wong.

SLASH WORLD ON FIRE FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS LIVE IN MALAYSIA 2015 @ SURF BEACH, SUNWAY LAGOON

Slash, one of the best rock guitarists in the world and former Guns N’ Roses lead who created the signature “Sweet Child Of Mine” rift, is back with his new band The Conspirators with vocalist Myles Kennedy, to promote their new album World On Fire. Prepare for a 2 hour set with the rock legend!

Some may already know Myles Kennedy as the rhythm guitarist and singer with Alter Bridge.
This latest Slash project ensemble is pretty awesome!

MUSICIANS FOR SINTHAMANI DIVINE LIFE ASHRAM, FEATURING VISHNU SHAKTHI AND FRIENDS @ MANDOLIN RESTAURANT AND PUB

The fantabulous musician and vocalist Vishnu Shakthi ropes in some of the best musicians around Malaysia in support of Persatuan Kebajikan Sinthamani Divine Life Ashram Kuala Lumpur & Selangor, to raise funds for a cool new canteen for 40 kids at the home.

The evening will feature an incredible cast of performers including the magnificent Gerard Singh, The Pandavas Fusion Band, Gerard Anthony, Victor Manavalan, Ananth Kumar, Roshan Vinayaak, Ivon Smith and Ridzuan Hamid.

Known for his Bombay Gin and Sambuca powered music sets, Vishnu Shakthi was a student from the esteemed University of Westminster and later a respected lecturer at International College Of Music, KL. He has written music for TV shows and worked with Ning Baizura and Prema Lucas while leading his band V-Experiment, and a proud member of SWV, Little Wings Band, Artstream and Five & Dime.

Gerard Singh is a legendary singer, songwriter and musician since the 80s and winner of Carlsberg’s acclaimed “Top of the Pubs”, solo category. He was honoured among 5 musicians by Australia’s “Yalumba” wine company for his music work. He later rose to regional prominence with his album “A Slice Of The Pie” (2004), nominated for 2 awards in 2005’s Anugerah Industri Musik (AIM) Awards.

In case you do not know, he is also the first Malaysian artiste to reach top 40 on the Billboard Charts with his original single “Crazy”.

The Pandavas Fusion Band started out as a 2 piece, and slowly grew into a “pancham” (Sanskrit language) with sitar, flute, acoustic guitar, tabla and box drum, performing Malay, Chinese and Middle Eastern music in Carnatic / new age /  world music style for musical healing and meditation.

Be fascinated by the sounds of Malaysia’s first and classy cross-culture fusion band.

The main performers will take the stage first, followed by an open jam session later at night. All the musicians and vocalists will be performing for free.

BRNWRCK SHOWCASE: FINAL GOODBYE – BANE (FAREWELL KL SHOW) @ BLACKBOX, SOLARIS DUTAMAS

The Hardcore punk band hailing from Massachusetts, United States delivering their final tour performances across the globe, stops by at Kuala Lumpur to bid farewell to the fans in Malaysia.

BANE is a side project between Aaron Dalbec (then of Converge), Damon Bellardo and later Aaron Bedard (vocalist of Backbone). They released their first EP in 1996 and by the success of their second album, embarked on their first US tour by 1998. Bane supports tolerance and unity within the scene.

Catch their latest song from their final album Don’t Wait Up.
