For the first time ever, the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) is organising an art festival that will see artists using discarded material to create their works of art.
So save those empty cans, bottles and whatever else you have in those garbage bins, folks!
Mayor Ahmad Phesal Talib, as reported by Bernama, said that the festival – called ‘Found in KL’ – gets artists to look for used items around the city and even in its parks. They would later use them to create works of art in the form of a sculpture and 3D art installation until Nov 2.
“The main theme of the festival is ‘Found in KL’, whereby the artists looked for used materials around the city and its parks to create artworks that portray the lives of the people here,”
