Six more types of chocolate recalled by IKEA Malaysia

Hear ye, hear ye; IKEA Malaysia has recalled six more types of chocolate.

According to Bernama, the recall was made after IKEA found that the contents of the chocolate, almond and hazelnut, were not clearly stated on the labels.

IKEA Malaysia has decided to recall the chocolates over fears that consumers would be allergic to the nuts, it said in a statement on Friday.

“Safety of the consumers was the priority when the company recalled the products Choklad Ljus UTZ 100g, Choklad Not utz 100g, Choklad Lingon and Blabar 180g, Godis Chokladran 168g, Godis Chokladkrokant 450g and Chokladkrokant Bredbar 400g,” it said in the statement, quoted by the news agency.

IKEA Malaysia has also urged consumers who bought the chocolates but are allergic to almond and hazelnut to return them to the Swedish Food Market at IKEA stores for a full refund.

Back in June, IKEA Malaysia recalled two dark chocolate bars, Chocklad Mörk 60% and Chocklad Mörk 60%, after their hazelnut and milk contents were also not clearly stated on the labels.
