It doesn’t get better than this for foodies.
Online meal booking website OffPeak.my have recently developed their own mobile application. As mentioned before in our previous article on OffPeak.my, it is a website launched back in August 2014 that allows users to book meals at a wide variety of their 250 -strong partnering restaurants with the added benefit of getting discounts for their booking!
According to the Offpeak.my team, since their opening, they’ve already raked in about 10,000 bookings. This goes to show that Malaysians do appreciate getting good food with great discounts and Offpeak.my is on the right track.

Amelia from the Offpeak.my team added that venturing into the mobile platform was due to their belief in catering to the different user behaviours and preferences of their customers. It seems like the right choice to do so seeing as most of us tend to decide where to eat on-the-go and having a nifty mobile app makes it easier to look for available options.
Just like how bookings are made via the Offpeak.my website, it’s just a simple click-on reservation where you reserve your time slot during the less peak hours of the restaurant.
The discount that is available for each time slot is clearly stated below each slot. You can sign in if you already registered for an account, or log in through your Facebook.

The service only allows you to make advanced reservations so you do not need to pay via the app or purchase any coupons before heading to the restaurant.
This system thereby makes it unlike Groupon or other discount sites where you have to make an immediate payment before calling the restaurant directly for a reservation.
You’ll receive a booking confirmation email to present to the restaurant and the discount (for your reserved time slot) will be immediately added to your food bill, so all you have to do is show up on time!
Furthermore, the app provides a new and better mobile user experience for users because they can search for great dining offers around them via the GPS function of mobile devices. There’s also a function on both the mobile app and website that enables the user to be directed to the restaurant by just clicking/tapping on the restaurant’s address.

Or you can just type in the name of the restaurant if you already know what you are looking for. Partnering restaurants are mainly in Klang Valley, but options go as far as Penang, Perak, and Pahang.
The OffPeak.my app can be downloaded for free on the Google PlayStore on Android and the AppStore on iOS.
