Nando’s doesn’t chicken out – supports KL soup kitchens

Nando’s has made a name for itself, not only for the restaurant chain’s tongue-burningly hot grilled Peri-Peri chicken, but also for the company’s equally sharp online marketing and viral advertising.

The chain put its taste for tangy taglines to good use last night when it threw its considerable online weight on the side of NGOs in Kuala Lumpur, currently being pressured by Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor and his Federal Territories Ministry to stop organising food kitchens to feed the capital’s poor and homeless from next Monday onwards.

Seeing as how Nando’s has extensive experience in … uhm … operating kitchens and feeding people, this seems like the right thing for them to have done. Good on you, Nando’s!

And yes, we definitely need a refill on that bottomless iced lemon tea, thanks.

If feeding was a crime… We’d be guilty as charged! pic.twitter.com/8Rfrzh3pkg
