The popular American burger chain Shake Shack has announced that it will open its first outlet in Malaysia at The Exchange TRX, a new mall in Kuala Lumpur, in 2023.
Shake Shack, which started as a hot dog cart in New York’s Madison Square Park in 2004, has grown into a global phenomenon with over 470 outlets in 32 US states and more than 165 international locations in cities such as London, Singapore, and, very soon, Kuala Lumpur.
Shake Shack is known for its elevated, modern and fun versions of American classics, made with premium ingredients and cooked to order. The menu features signature items such as the ShackBurger, a cheeseburger topped with lettuce, tomato and ShackSauce; the Chicken Shack, a crispy chicken sandwich with lettuce, pickles and buttermilk herb mayo; the ‘Shroom Burger, a vegetarian option with a crisp-fried portobello mushroom filled with melted cheese; and the Crinkle-Cut Fries, which can be ordered plain or with cheese sauce.
Shake Shack also offers a variety of shakes, frozen custards and concretes (dense frozen custards blended with mix-ins), such as the Shack Attack, a chocolate custard with fudge sauce, chocolate truffle cookie dough and chocolate sprinkles. In addition to these classics, Shake Shack Malaysia will reportedly introduce some exclusive menu items that will cater to the local palate and preferences.
