Lok Lok is most often sold at stalls by the street or food trucks, and are popular as hawker food.
Food items such as meats, seafood and even vegetables are served in skewers, which are then dipped into boiling soup or water and left to cook.

The sticks are then glazed with a sauce of one’s choice.
