Cookie addicts, rejoice! Hong Kong’s highly sought-after butter cookies that spurned copycat recipes are now available in Kuala Lumpur.
Jenny Bakery’s first Malaysia store at Bangsar Shopping Centre will welcome visitors for the first time this week to its cute off-white interior and fancy teddy bear-themed tins of cookies flown in from Hong Kong. Christmas-themed tins are available in time for the holiday season.
“Now, these soft, delicious, melt-in-your-mouth cookies are available to all Malaysians anytime, any day- whether you’re visiting our store or ordering the cookies online,” said Jovi Wong, CEO of parent company Pinz. Pinz has been importing Jenny Bakery’s butter cookies to Malaysians via online orders since last year. Jenny Bakery also has a delivery outlet in Singapore.
Highlights to look out for include Pure Butter Flower Cookies, Aroma Coffee Flower Cookies, Pure Chocolate Flower Cookies, Raisin Oat and Shortbread. There are also butter cookies in other flavors, cranberries, macadamia nuts, and almonds. They are priced from RM48 (US$11) to RM179 (US$42), depending on the weight and type of cookies.
