Attention, tastebuds: Nobu KL opens today

After 20 years of delighting gourmands the world over and making a name for itself as one of the best fine dining Japanese restaurants on the planet, iconic Nobu will be opening its doors for the first time ever in Southeast Asia tonight, right here in KL.

Nobu was founded by sushi chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa, with a little nudging from celebrity friend and backer Robert De Niro. Since opening the first Nobu in New York City, the brand has opened its doors in key cities in the United States, as well as Tokyo, Moscow, Beijing, and Hong Kong.

Nobu’s KL patrons can expect to be wowed by the restaurant’s distinctive blend of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine, as exemplified by the signature Black Cod Miso, Rock Shrimp Tempura, Nobu Tacos, and the Yellowtail Jalapeno.

Nobu was brought to Malaysian shores by Tan Sri Syed Yusuf, who was also responsible for importing the Hard Rock Cafe and Hard Rock Hotel brands to the country, and will  be headed by Malaysian-born head chef Philip Leong.

Nobu KL is located on Level 56 of Menara 3 Petronas, KLCC. It is open from 6pm to 11pm for dinner, and the bar is open from 6pm to midnight. Nobu is closed on Sundays.
